George earned a BA in Art from William Paterson University, majoring in sculpture. Upon graduation he worked for a packaging design firm.
Some years later he delved into the Faux Effects residential market, attending numerous courses at the Finishing School in Floral Park, N.Y.
The Finishing School courses included subjects such as murals, distressing, trompe l’oeil, and business procedures for artists.
His murals and trompe l’oeil works can be found in fine Northern New Jersey homes, on Fifth Avenue, NYC, in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands to name a few.
George uses glazes and acrylics to achieve his effects. George’s observations of locales in which he lives and visits provide the source material for many of his paintings, unless he has been commissioned to paint a specific piece.
