  Bio:

Valerie Moyer is a local freelance Fine Artist, who has been painting visual art for over 20 years, preserving the past by creating heirlooms of artwork. She resides with her husband and four children in Beaver Springs, Pennsylvania.

Her artwork specializes in custom, affordable landscape paintings of historic buildings, churches, personal homesteads, businesses, and varied other subjects.  The paintings are created with acrylic paint on canvas in a range of sizes.

Most of her works are commissioned pieces although non-commissioned paintings are available as well.  Many of her clients enjoy the option to customize their artwork with changes and alterations to the subject matter to make the finished painting more suitable and pleasing.

Another option her clients appreciate is the availability to have their paintings duplicated into prints, cards, and other 2-D media, via a local printer, for professional and private use, therefore increasing the possible uses of the artwork.

She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kutztown University with minors in both History and Art History. After moving to this area over 20 years ago, she worked as both a painter as well as a designer for Design Tiles in Mifflinburg.  She taught a drawing class at Middlecreek Community Center in Beaver Springs and a mural painting class at Juniata Mennonite School in McAlisterville as well as separately completing several local murals.

Occasionally she will paint for Middle Creek Signs as a freelance artist on custom sign work. She has been the guest speaker for various organizations and the featured artist at Shade Mountain Winery for the Evening with Local Artist benefiting the Selinsgrove Library System.

Her community activities include membership in the Middlecreek Chamber of Commerce, Board Member of the Selinsgrove Arts Council, membership in the Lewisburg Artist Guild, Perry County Artist Guild, membership in the Piecemakers Quilt Guild and the Spinners and Weavers Guild.  For several years she has participated as a Judge at several local fairs and has on occasion offered private art lessons.
